Zitat:
The death card
The book is written by Cade Merrid, who is the cousin from a victim of the blair witch.
He is about to find out the truth what is going on in the woods of Burkittsville.
Is there really a witch?
At school he meets a girl wich tells him a story about her cousin Kayla.
At first he didn’t believe her, but when he heard the story he is not sure if it’s true or not.
Kayla, her boyfriend John and her cousin Erin went to Deep Creek Lake, where they wanted to find the blair witch.
After a long and arduous travel, they reach the mysterious place. Kayla and Erin hike to the bog,
while John is waiting by the car.
When the two girls arrive at their destination, a ghost boy, who was killed by the blair witch, tries to murder Kayla.
But in the end she can defeat him by burning a tarot card, she found in her mother’s backpack.
I think it is a very mysterious and spooky book and in some ways it remembers me of
the R.L. Stine books I’ve read when I was younger. One of the reasons why I wouldn’t like
to be be one of the characters is, because in such books many people get hurt or killed.
I really enjoyed reading the book, especially the passages where the autor added some notes.
This gives the book an authentic look.
Because I’m into horror-stories, I can recommend the book to all people, male and female,
who also love to frighten themselves by reading books like these.
All in all I think it’s a great and interesting book, although there are some passages wich are a bit boring.
Also ich finde den Text gut. Ich weiß nur nicht, ob beim vorletzten Satz am Ende nicht eher "them" stehen sollte, statt "these".
